On
the riverbank by the Alma Weir, with access to the old town over
a wooden bridge, this pub is ideally situated for watching the water
and ducks go by from the beer garden and benches that line the river
footpath. Although flooded during the very wet summer of 2007, the
pub was refurbished and back in business within a few weeks.
It has a split
level interior with bar at top, and a conservatory dining area overlooking
the river.
Blacksheep bitter,
Caledonian Deuchers and Adnams Broadside on draught. BBQs in the
summer (burst riverbanks excepted!)
