Friendly local, several minutes walk from the centre of Ripon, the Turks Head has several interesting features particularly the vaulted church style wooden panelled bar and mirrors. There are 2 cosy bar rooms, plus a games room, with a beer garden in the back yard.

Black Sheep bitter and John Smiths are the regular ales, with a rotating guest, which at our last visit was Robinson's Flash Harry. If you time it right you may even get a free pie to go with your pint, such is the generosity of the landlady.
