Former 18th century riverside coaching inn, alongside the rear entrance to Mother Shipton's cave. The pub's interior is steeped in history, retaining much of it's original decor and furnishings, including a table once used by Guy Fawkes.

Although the pub has had a troubled history over the last year or so, as tenants have been and gone, we hope that they will retain the guest beer policy, alongside their regular ales Theakstons Best and Old Peculiar.
